Latest issue about Nuffnang

Recently because some misunderstanding, Nuffnang was labelled as Racist. I came across many bloggers that voiced out their opinions, now it's my turn.
Let me state what's my stands 1st. I would say "Har!!! that's ridiculous!!" Nuffnang would be the ambassador for 1Malaysia program if there's any. (Ok. Let me make it clear ya. Nuffnang DOESN'T pay me for this.)

Let me briefly explain what's going on and how it started.
Nuffnang organized a lots a lots of events until recently regarding the events for Sony TX 5, the 3 winners for that contest were from the same races in coincidence. Then some of the disappointed bloggers voiced up that they would give up Nuffnang and labelled it as racist.

In my point of view, a contest that being judged based of creativity is a norm of the competition. Racial issue shouldn't be brought up. It's none of racial problem OK?In a contest, there would be winners and losers. However, fair play makes it interesting. For your information, Nuffnang is a platform or medium for the advertiser and bloggers like me. So basically, advertiser would be the clients of Nuffnang. In some events, the clients decide on the winners with the advice of Nuffnang. So it's unfair to put the blame on Nuffnang. Ok. this might be out of control for Nuffnang.

Let's talk about events organized by Nuffnang. Premiere Screening. Yeah!!!I would never give up any chances to get the tickets. But does Nuffnang only gives chances to certain race? It's obvious that bloggers can blog or leave comment in any languages. Aren't that fair enough? I guess I am lucky enough to get most of it, but the points is I always meet with other races bloggers like JMR, Hana, Mohd Zaid and etc...Even some of my friends who are Chinese keep complaining to me why he can't get it. What I could say is "Try harder next time and you would get rewarded one day." It's judged based on creativity not colour of skin ok!!!

Next, other events like Samsung Corby, Nuffnang Sharing Session, and others. I could see multiraces people there. Then what's meant by RACIST? While pointing 1 fingers to the others, do you realize that other 4 fingers are pointing at you. Stop putting blame on others and bring racial issue out blindly. Be rational. Ok. There's really one Nuffnang event that is without any single Malay. It's the Nuffnang Tiger Run organized at Jaya during the Chinese New Year period. But...but...besides Chinese, there're a lot of Indians there. For those bloggers that know about this event, I think you would know why there's no Malays right? Yeah!!!The events is sponsored by a liquor company- TIGER. Consuming liquor is totally prohibited for Muslim in Malaysia. And we can't expect a liquor company sponsoring an event and soft drinks are served throughout the event right? They need to advertise their products also right? So think rationally before you jump to an conclusion.

It's no wrong that you voice out your opinion. This nation adopt democratic system. So don't worry. But every single word you said would show your personality and characteristic. Blogging plays an important role in social media. Use it wisely don't abuse it.

Nuffnang, you are totally on the right path. A lots of blogger would be on your side. keep it on ya...*support*

That's my sharing. You can have a look on others opinion about this.

Save the water, save the earth~!!!

Look at the title and YES! That's the lesson of the day. Since young, we are taught and educated to save water. But how much do we really understand about it? I think I don't have to remind you all how important water is in our daily life. We are so lucky and fortunate to be born in this country that full of sources and WATER is one of it.

Source would not be eternity!!!

We are lucky that we don't have to queue up just to take pails of water.
We are lucky that we don't have to experience drought.
We are lucky that we can take hours to take a bath.
We are lucky that we can wash cars for several times in a week.
We are lucky that we have water to ease our thirst.
We are lucky that we don't have to pay much for the water bills.
We are lucky that our water is clean.

Due to so much of luck, we take that for granted. We do not think twice when we use it. We do not maximize the usage. This is really disappointed and it's a against the education system.

In conjunction with YTL Climate Change Week, YTL has organized a variety of events to increase public awareness regarding climate change. Mother nature is a gift that should be protected and man's ignorance is a silence killer for it.

It's a happening event and one of my friends would like be part of it. He has taken part in Climate Change Week Eco Tips - Video and Contest and this is his effort.

So how's it? Get useful info from his creativity? For me, YES! Of course.
For your information, from the director to the actor, none of them is from the creativity or multimedia field. Not to say about their experiences. Everyone of them are from engineering field. Who says Science stream students can't think out of the box???

I hope that you all would give some support to my friends as he deserves more that just a "like". What I hope is you could go to this website Climate Change Week Eco Tips - Video and Contest and pick the video with the title "Save the water, save the world" directed by ERIC LAI. Then the last and important part, click "like" button for that video. Your "like" means everything and it might change the world.

Thank you!!!

"Tekken is a game la..."
"No...It's a movie..."
"No la...It's a game la...Oh Gosh u..."

STOP ARGUING~!!! Tekken used to be a Video or Computer Game...But now TEKKEN IS IN CINEMA~!!!
Then it means that REAL PEOPLE is going to get REAL FIGHT???or maybe REAL BLOOD???

Yeah~!!!REAL ACTION!!!

Courtesy of GSC Movies, 50 pairs Nuffnangers will have the chance to watch Tekken a day before its official release date.
To win a pair of invites to catch Tekken on the big screen, what we have to do is just:

  1. Write a blog post with the title “Tekken is in the Cinemas!!”
  2. Share with the others which Tekken character we like the most.
  3. Comment on this blog post with the permalink of our written blog post.

My favourite character in Tekken would be the one & only him...*deng deng deng*

Marshall Law~!!!

He is also known as "The Fighting Chef". His fighting style is credited as "Martial Arts". Due to a translation error that was never corrected, it was pronounced as "Marshall Arts", which is pronounced the same way.

Don't you feel that he is the shadow of one of the Kung Fu legend???

Look properly...

Bruce Lee...

Don't you feel that both of them have the similarities??

Yeah...Marshall Law's fighting style is Jeet Kune Do, a "style" created by Bruce Lee, the martial artist whom Marshall Law is based on. Both are great fighters. Go and kick some asses...

Marshall Law is on fire...

Inspiration...

I came across a blog with the title Rags to Riches...the story was reali inspiring...it's about one of his frenz experience...his fren got an offer from a university from UK but his family couldn't afford to pay it, and all he requested was juz a flight to UK, and he would settle other things like food, accommodation and the tuition fee. His dad had to loan money from the shark loan just to pay for the flight. In UK, he had to work and cope with his study at the same time. Life wasn't a bed of roses for him even though he got the chance to further study overseas. He always think that education is the best way for him to get rid of poverty. Against all odds, he is now a a Director at one of the top multinational investment banks in the world. Of course, he is a multi-millionaire now.

Now, we hardly get to hear about that, mayb there's a lot of alternative for people in Malaysia to further study. The common way would be scholarships-Mara, Petronas, JPA; loan-PTPTN,Kojadi and so on...The concerned matter now is whether you want to further study or not...Somehow maybe becoz of that, people take for granted. They would think that they will automatically get a scholarship if they get good result in SPM or STPM. So, when their expectations is not met, here they go to the media, they even bring out the racial issues. that's all about the annual scene that we all could see whenever the result of SPM and STPM are released. Sorry to say that the education system in my primary and high school would just teach the students to work hard and score in the exam and just wait...wait and wait...all those good things would come to you...tat's y...v r lacked of creativity and will be panic when things do not come in the way we want...

When was the last time I walk around in the book store???haha...it's last week...how about before that???erm....erm...few months ago???
I would like to blame it on technology like internet and Facebook. would like to blame it on lack-of-reading-environment. but i know the mastermind would be me myself. it had been a long time since i finished reading my last book. Currently, movie in the cinema is the leisure i spend most of my time. shud take a change on it. really put everything aside and flip the books. erm...juz went for the popular sales at The Curve last week. bought 3 books at a cheap price...yeah...that's what a long life learning means.

It's time to WALK THE TALK!

Yap Chuan Dry Bak Kut Teh

*Reminder to Muslim readers before you proceed, this food recommendation is non-halal*

Talking about Bak Kut Teh, most of the people will relate it to Klang. In Malaysia, Klang would be famous with Bak Kut Teh. Bak Kut Teh is not originated from China. Many of my friends went to China and they found out that there is no Bak Kut Teh there, only "pen cai" available there. I guess Malaysian has changed the way of preparing it so that it suits the taste of Malaysian.
Basically Bak Kut Teh main ingredient is pork-pork meat, pork intestine and herbal soup.
For the dry version of Bak Kut Teh, the main ingredient would be pork too, there were dried red chili, sliced okra, and dried cuttle fish to add to the taste.

There is a shop that I found out is nice and is near to the place I am staying at...

Yap Chuan Dry Bak Kut Teh

I have been there twice and twice I also ordered the same Dry Bak Kut Teh...Didn't really try the soup one before...

The 1st time, I was there with friends. I found out this shop online (blog specifically)...so just go & try...

The 2nd time I was there alone, just because I miss the taste

A set of Bak Kut Teh for a person...Ohya...the "yao zha guai" didn't come yet...the dry one is really nice...hope that the soup one is not bad too...

Main dish that would make me add more rice despite the effort of cutting down my weigh and still get satisfied *need to jog more rounds*

*Damn...need to buy a camera la...photo not nice and clear at all*

The location would be at the sign A.
From Cyberjaya, Seri Kembangan, go along LDP. After the Puchong toll, turn up to the overhead road when u see the sign "Bandar Puchong Utama"(the overhead bridge taken to go to Puchong Yong Tao Fu one)...then take the right turn and go straight until u reach a junction that can turn right (before another traffic light)...then go straight and u can see the shop on your left...

You can refer to kyspeaks, vkeong.com and lotsofcraving to know more about their comment and information...

Nuffnang Sharing Session

Sorry for not updating for so long...busy weekend + Uncompleted task really make me can't even take some times to update my blog...Thanks for the bloggers that share the blog post permalink regarding Nuffnang Sharing Session with me...Sharing is indeed caring^^ Now it's my turn to share mine~!!!

Really glad that I got this invitation and YES! I COULD MAKE IT ON THAT DAY!
I did meet a lot of bloggers there and I did learn a lot...I have lots and lots of things that I reali have to learn from them...

Ohya...was too excited that I forgot to introduce... Nuffnang Sharing Session is a gathering that organized by Nuffnang to gather the bloggers in a not-a-big group (around 20 bloggers) and to share among themselves about blogging...This time, the session is organized on 9th July 2010 at Pak Li Kopitiam Setapak Indah.

I would briefly talk about Pak Li Kopitiam. It's a restaurant opened by a Nyonya boss from Singapore. The most important thing is all the food is HALAL and suits everyone of us...there're alredi 6 outlets in Malaysia and the name Pak Li is from the idea of three famous "Li" people - Bruce "Lee", "Lee" Kah Seang and "Lee" Yuan Yew. These three people symbolize intelligence, physically and mentally strong, leadership and creativity.

From the front...

Front the side

Nyonya-styled decoration in the restaurant...

The manager of Pak Li Kopitiam, En. Shahreer and Robb from Nuffnang...
Opening speech from them and En. Shahreer introduce us the signature food in Pak Li Kopitiam...

Here come the boss of Pak Li Kopitiam...

The appetizing Tuna Sandwich...Yummmy...

Nasi Ayam Lemon...one of the signature food in the Kopitiam...hehe...
Btw, thanks Nuffnang for the food...hehe^^

These are some of the photos taken while everyone was busy sharing and eating...sorry that the photo resolution may not be that good as I am using onli handphone camera...issshhh...shud buy a camera...if not I may lose out a lot...

Yea...I would like to share some of the blog and some of the post about Nuffnang Sharing Session from Hana, Kak Ina, My Red Loves, Mat Joe, Yee Jin, Bed Time Storie, lAl, JMR, Peronda Jaket Biru, Day Deck, Mohd Zaid dan Eyriqazz...Sorry if I din include ur blog ya, pls let me know so that I can update it...

After dinner, here comes the main event - Sharing...by the Tok Guru, Eyriqazz and Robb from Nuffnang...
They both share a lot regarding how to improve a blog...from the template till the things that they wrote in the blog, then about writing style, topic to share about, how to treat the blog readers, how's Nuffnang operate, what's the status of Glitterati, how long is the cash out and so on...hehe...If you wanna know anything more about this can ask me...in a nutshell I would say tat blogging is not meant to earn money but juz to share. Blog when I feel like to blog, if I dun feel like blogging, juz dun blog...Blog the way you are...dun juz follow...

Somehow, the part I like the most is when Robb shared his life experience wif me...He used to be a Petronas scholar, but after 2 years, he found out that his interest is not in tat and he did have the COURAGE to give up the scholarship despite he need to pay back to Petronas because of breach of contract...He said "Even I am not considered as a success person, but I am happy with what I am doing now...now I am still paying the debt by installment."

"Just be happy, life is meant to be happy, do the things that u like. Don't do it if you don't like it. Be passionate with what you are doing now." - Robb

Thanks everyone, Nuffnang and Pak Li Kopitiam...Hope we would have the chance to meet again and keep on sharing...

What If I’m a Russian Spy

Horay!!! Nuffnang is giving away free movie tickets AGAIN~!!! This time is the movie that we have been waiting for - SALT staring Angelina Jolie. I have seen the trailer in the cinema since March.

Ok. Here is what I should do.
1st, write a blog post with the titled “What If I’m a Russian Spy” in my blog.
2nd, tell my readers what will be my mission entrusted to me by Mother Russia and how will I execute it.
3rd, drop a comment in this blog post with the permalink of my blog post.

Wait...wait...There’s more icing on the cake as ONE (1) lucky Nuffnanger will walk home from the screening with a Sony bloggie™ camera worth RM899!

So, what are you waiting there? Start to get idea and write it...

So here goes mine...

If I'm a Russian Spy, I think I would get a mission that I am ought to complete it before Nov 18, 2009. The target of my mission would be the country Slovenia. My mission is to make Slovenia lost to Russia in the World Cup qualifying play-off second-leg game at the Stadium Ljudski Vrt, Maribor on Nov 18, 2009.

Ok~!That's what I am going to do. I am going to sneak into the Slovenia national football team. Then I will add some chemical into their food and drinks to make them weak. So, on the day of the match, they will be under-performance. Instead of making the Slovenia team disqualified, I want the Slovenia team lost to Russia in front of thousand pairs of eyes.

If the mission is accomplished, I would chance the history. Russia would be one of the 32 teams that make it in World Cup 2010.

With enough of LUCKS, this team MIGHT be going back with the World Cup Trophy. (Opppsss...I mean plenty of LUCKSSS ok???haha...)

This team will make Russia proud if and only if with the help of mine,The Best Russian Spy...hehe...

*Mission Accomplished*

"What~!!!Come on la...It's World Cup fever ok? Makan Bola, Minum Bola, Tidur Bola, Sure Blog pun Bola la"

Time Out KL Thursday Comedy

It's the beginning of the mid-year. And ytd (1/7) there's no football match. So people mostly man are free to hang out. To start the beginning of the mid-year with laughter, Time Out KL is organizing THURSDAY COMEDY at Velvet Underground ZOUK. So, I took this opportunity to take some 'medicine' as the word goes "laughter is the best medicine"...

Can't stop myself from taking the photos of the Twin Tower whenever I was there...It's well-designed and awesome...

So here I am on Thursday Night a.k.a Ah Moi's night (Ladies Night)

Make my way into the entrance of the destination and I saw a long queue...

Queue up to register...Actually the entrance fee was RM25.00 per head. Since, Time Out KL is promoting "Save the Tree" Campaign, they encourage us to register online or RSVP in the Facebook and we can enjoy the discount of RM10.00.

Sure we are having a laugh~!!! We are paying for it...

Time Out KL supports Local Comedy...

Yeah...Meet a lot of famous comedians...one of my favourites Dougles and Jenhan...So took a photo wif them...

Woohoo...3 comedians in a row...^^ I look damn small, when I am standing beside Jenhan...
Btw, Jenhan juz lost his father last week...condolence to Jenhan & your family...he is indeed professional that he could perform well despite of that...*salute*

Meet Harith Iskandar and his wife Jezamine Lim there too...but dun have the chance to take photo wif them...=(
Ohya, they were just married...Congratulation...

Among three of them, onli Jenhan was on the stage performing...other 2 is juz like us...enjoying the performance...there're 6 comedians take turns to perform & among them, I like Jenhan's performance the most...maybe he speak my language...

1 thing I like about this Thursday Comedy...They use the f-word frequently...they juz f around...& they joke about man, woman and sex...that's the most interesting part...i guess this is the difference between performing at a club and performance art centre...they juz f-around wif us...haha...

I think they haven't upload the video yet, this is the video taken last year...YES...is an anual event...even twice a year...but, for the video, no f-word can be listen...

I wanna be The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

I would say that it's indeed a coincidence. Yesterday I was just browsing photos taken in a trip that I missed so much and I was thinking how good it is if time would go back.

Today, Courtesy of Walt Disney Motion Pictures Malaysia, 60 Nuffnangers will have the chance to watch The Sorcerer’s Apprentice 2 days before its official release date. What Nuffnangers need to do is to write a blog with the title “I wanna be The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and share with the others why do we wanna be The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and what would we do with our new magical powers. You can click HERE for more details.

Thanks for the opportunity for me to share out...

Being a Sorcerer's Apprentice, of course I could do many things that out of the ability of a normal human being. I bet everyone would wish to be different and special. The more power you have, the more responsible that you have to take up. First of all, I have to make sure that the angel in me is always stronger than my devil so that I will not misuse my power. Then only my power is fully utilized.haha...I am talking like I am already a sorcerer's apprentice now.

Honestly, I am not a God, or a Super Nice Guy that would help the world. If really I were a sorcerer's apprentice, I would use the power I have to turn the clock back to the nice moment that I have before. For now, the moment that I would wish is The Pangkor Trip.

The photo was taken on 18th of Aplril 2009. Yeah, it has been 1 years plus already. But still the memories are fresh in mind. It's a trip that organized by my university, MMU (Cyberjaya) Tourism Club. It's considered as committee trip and we are just like one big family.

However, one year later from that day, many of them are way far apart. Some are even as far as East Malaysia now. Some have graduated and started working. Some are undergoing internship at their respective hometowns. Miss the old times ya...

I thought I was alone. But it turns out to be not true. Many of them missed that moment too...*Give me 5 ya*

So, if I am a sorcerer's apprentice, can I be a bit selfish and go back to the moment just to enjoy it for a brief time? It's that considered as an evil act? If I really have such opportunity, will I treasure the moment any more? *Dilemma*

ANYHOW......

I just wanna be the sorcerer's apprentice to try all those 'if'~!!!
