Being a Malaysian, I am proud! Yes! I am glad that I was born and raised up in this food paradise. The best thing about living in multi-races nation is you can have a taste on different types of food under one roof. haha...One Malaysia right? And because of this I was "well-trained". I have no problem with spicy Indian curry, fond of Malay sambal belacan, like to eat Chinese Yong Tau Fu and enjoy sitting at mamak stall along the roadside. While most of the Chinese don't eat beef, I would say that beef is the best meat that I ever tried. No matter it's a beef steak or beef rendang, it always tastes nice for me.
Being a Malaysian, we are also exposed to food from foreign nation like Thai food, Japanese Sushi, Western chicken chop, Italian pasta and etc.
That's the unique part I like about food in Malaysia.
I know nothing about my dream or ambition, but one thing I know is food is always my interest and passion.
Dinner in a Pak Li's Kopitiam. Full of the food of Malaysia.
Notice about Malaysian-style restaurant's menu?
From ais-kacang to sandwish,
from chicken rice to chicken chop,
from East to west,
Malaysian food is the best.
After graduating from high school, I further my study to city. Since then, my interest in food grew just like how my waist grew side way day by day. Therefore my T-shirt size is XL now. haha... That's the part when you put food as your priority. However, it doesn't stop me from hunting nice food.
No matter it's just a claypot of porridge...
or a perfect dine-in in a restaurant...
I would get myself a try on every food that has been the talk in town.
As a student, I don't have much pocket money. Sometimes, I would rather spend my 5 days eating instant noodles and bread so that I can have a set of nice meal during the weekend.
I would make every cents worth for the food. For nice food specifically.
Thanks to the food bloggers like KYspeak, I have a great guideline for nice food. I would try most of the food recommended by his blog.
Not long ago, I came across KY's blog post about Best Burger in SS2 and SS2 Leong Fried Rice.
The next day, here I was in Mamak Square SS2 ordering this 2 food.
Some must think that "So what?" But traveling from Cyberjaya to SS2, Petaling Jaya just to get this piece of nice food and travel back. Some might say "Wah, insane ar? Paying petrol & toll fees for just mamak food?" For me, it's worth for any nice food. And nice food doesn't mean have to from a restaurant.
Hunting for food has become part of my life.
Last but not least, I would share the cake of the day with the others. It's nice to see their smiling face while they are eating.
When I am managed to find any nice food, I would share it verbally or by blog. Sharing is always caring!
Yeah!!! I can't wait to eat~!!! *MAKAN mode activated*
This time, I am definitely not alone. 4 of us with each of us having our own abilities will surely make this race competitive. Let me present to all of you the my team - F4F (Food 4 Friends).
Top left : Siew Fai, a great and calm leader to lead us throughout the journey.
Top right : Yin Fung, the only female and still she will be behind of the wheel on that day. She is also a good typist and blog-writer.
Bottom left : Tze Ing, a skinny guy that eat like a monster. Don't ever judge the book by its cover.
Bottom right : Me - Yee Kean, a fatty that has much passion in nice food.
We search, We eat, We share!
OHYA!!! Please don't forget to reserve a XL size t-shirt for me ya.
We are certainly a good combination for the race right?

Before I sign off, I would like to share some great deals by Maxis with you all.
It's regarding all the plan for wireless by Maxis. If you're interested, you can log into http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/broadband/wireless_allplans.asp to know more.
Besides, there is another application from Maxis which I found that it's useful for us especially me who don't have a good sense of direction. It's called as Maxis Finder301 Application. This location-based app provides you with information on food, restaurants, ATMs, banks, clinics, police stations and more around you. There's an even happier news for food lover like me because FINDER301 has the largest food listings in Malaysia, and it’ll help you find great food around you. I just can't wait to know more about it at http://itunes.apple.com/my/app/maxis-finder301/id375530216?mt=8#
Ohya, before i forget about it, Thanks to Maxis because throughout the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race, an iPhone 4 with Finder301 application and Wireless Broadband will be provided to all the teams and all of them are available through Maxis. It really helps us a lot.
Hope that we can meet the others on the 15th January 2011. All the best~!!!
