I came across a blog with the title Rags to Riches...the story was reali inspiring...it's about one of his frenz experience...his fren got an offer from a university from UK but his family couldn't afford to pay it, and all he requested was juz a flight to UK, and he would settle other things like food, accommodation and the tuition fee. His dad had to loan money from the shark loan just to pay for the flight. In UK, he had to work and cope with his study at the same time. Life wasn't a bed of roses for him even though he got the chance to further study overseas. He always think that education is the best way for him to get rid of poverty. Against all odds, he is now a a Director at one of the top multinational investment banks in the world. Of course, he is a multi-millionaire now.
Now, we hardly get to hear about that, mayb there's a lot of alternative for people in Malaysia to further study. The common way would be scholarships-Mara, Petronas, JPA; loan-PTPTN,Kojadi and so on...The concerned matter now is whether you want to further study or not...Somehow maybe becoz of that, people take for granted. They would think that they will automatically get a scholarship if they get good result in SPM or STPM. So, when their expectations is not met, here they go to the media, they even bring out the racial issues. that's all about the annual scene that we all could see whenever the result of SPM and STPM are released. Sorry to say that the education system in my primary and high school would just teach the students to work hard and score in the exam and just wait...wait and wait...all those good things would come to you...tat's y...v r lacked of creativity and will be panic when things do not come in the way we want...
When was the last time I walk around in the book store???haha...it's last week...how about before that???erm....erm...few months ago???
I would like to blame it on technology like internet and Facebook. would like to blame it on lack-of-reading-environment. but i know the mastermind would be me myself. it had been a long time since i finished reading my last book. Currently, movie in the cinema is the leisure i spend most of my time. shud take a change on it. really put everything aside and flip the books. erm...juz went for the popular sales at The Curve last week. bought 3 books at a cheap price...yeah...that's what a long life learning means.
It's time to WALK THE TALK!
