“This is the most unpopular decision the Government has to make since independence.’’
“We don’t want to be another Greece.’’
"If the rate of government debt were to grow 12% per annum, the country would be bankrupt by 2019 as total debt would soar to a crushing RM1.16 trillion by 2019."
Now it's confirm that all the rumours saying that Malaysia is going to bankrupt is true...the government is kind of desperate of implementing instead of "asking opinion"...

Yea...the government is going to withdraw most of the subsidies including petrol, fuel, electricity, sugar, flour, tuition fees, health...
The consequences for this would be the increase of price for EVERYTHING from the necessities to luxuries...
ok...how it effect me as a student...
I am still studying and sometimes or most of the time, I have to dine-in outside...the food and beverage price is increasing...even the bread and noodle are getting more expensive...I can't even eat bread if I have no money...haha...
Now, I dunno whether I am fortunate to have transportation while I am still studying. For the same distance that I travel, I need to pay more...if it's implemented asap, the petrol price will increase FROM TIME TO TIME starting June...
I used to pay RM 1.00 for the out-patient treatment at government hospital...Now I have to pay pay extra RM 2.00 which is RM 3.00...so hope I dun get sick frequently...
For the electricity user that uses exceed 200kW per month...a great news for all of u...u gonna pay xtra for it...
For students who studying in public university, ur tuition fees is getting higher...ermmm....i dunno whether it will affect the private institution too....hopefully not....
I got to admit that after listening to the forum and reading the articles about the withdrawal of subsidies...this is the best way...we now might feel the sudden impact, but we dun wan our next generation to bear of this...It's better we cope it now than facing bankruptcy...it's for a better future...But 1 thing...i hope that the RM103bil that could be saved in five years after withdrawing the subsidies would be FULLY UTILIZED...instead of corruption and bla...bla...bla...
As a small tiny part of Malaysia, what can I do is changing my lifestyle...gonna reducing my travel especially by car,depends more on public transport,reduce the time of dine-in outside,cut down the amount of food,reducing the unnecessary waste of water and electricity,reducing the entertainment...in order words, save what I can save in all aspect...hope I can walk the talk...if not, I will be living like a beggar soon...
