2010 in a nutshell

It is 5.00am & I am sitting in front of my laptop, reminiscing about what had happened throughout the year. I just don't wish to spend the last day of 2010 on the bed. I don't have a good memory. Thanks to the technology nowadays, I could recall back a lots of memory using photos, blogs, twitter and Facebook. Looking back those photos and blog posts, I would say that it's indeed a great journey with all the people around me.

In year 2010, I did learn a lot not from notes or books but from life. I witness how bond among friends getting stronger and another way round. I started to notice that not everything will remain the same or as the way you wish. I learn that acceptance is important in life. Knowledge is undeniable an essential asset for us. However, attitude and spirit play important roles in the journey towards success.

I am sorry...sincerely apologize...

Heard of GBOB before?

What's GBOB?


It'd actually pronounced as "G-BOB". It's stand for Global Battle of the Bands.

Here come some of the explanation and brief history about GBOB from Wikipedia:The Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) is an international Battle of the Band competition, where bands from many different countries compete in original live music performance. It was held for the first time in 2004 and the prize is 100,000 American dollars pack, the GBOB special gold trophy, the chance to go on a world tour and the title of "The Best New Band In The World".

It was held at The Celebrities Hall of Music, SOHO, Solaris Mont Kiara


I was usher by a group of Band lovers.


The place is awesome & it's totally great for event.


There's also performance by the champion for the GBOB Malaysia representative.

The Global Battle of the Band World Final 2010 will be held on 26th February 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The search for the winning Malaysian band to represent the country at the GBOB World Finals 2010 will be carried through the nation. There will be a series qualifying heats in various live music clubs venue in Johor Bahru, Penang and around Klang Valley. This will culminate in a National Final where National Champion will be awarded RM 50,000 in cash and prizes and the right to be the official Malaysian representative to the GBOB World Finals 2010 with Malaysia as Host Country.

1. Qualifying heat 1 : Jazz & Blue Discovery, Johor Bahru (Jan 7, Friday)
2. Qualifying heat 2 : Soundmaker, Weld Quay, Penang (Jan 15, Saturday)
3. Qualifying heat 3 : Bangkok Connexion, Jalan Ampang, KL (Jan 22, Saturday)
4. Qualifying heat 4 : The Celebrities Hall of Musics, Solaris Mont Kiara, KL ( Jan 29, Saturday)

Gala Premiere of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of The Dawn Treader

Last week, I was invited to the Gala Premiere Screening of the movie "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". Thanks to Nuffnang, I can bring along a friend to enjoy it a week before the movie is released. Before the premiere screening started, there're events outside the cinema in conjunction with the Gala Premiere Screening.

Thanks to Eon Bank Group that make this Gala Premiere a success one.

There're DJs from Hitz.FM to cheer the people up.

Know this two guys? You might always listen to their voice, but never see them before. They are well-known for their "GOTCHAAAA". Yeah~!! That's JJ and Ean.

Eon Bank is giving out free tickets as well as merchandises on that day also.

1 free ticket for the movie will be given to those who managed to complete the puzzle within a given time.

Yingnn & I got 1 each, so she suggested to give the pair of tickets to her sister. *Share the luck*=)

They always fight with each other when they first meet.

Somehow, they become friends finally. A true warrior finally appears.

Don't wish to elaborate much on the story. Don't wish that my blog post will become spoiler of the movie. In my opinion, it's a movie with a simple story line but great graphic. It's a must-watch movie for the book lovers of this story. Somehow, friendships and spirit against the evil can be seen in this movie. You don't have to use squeeze your brain in the cinema as the story is easily understood. In my personal view, it's rated as 5/10.

This movie will be in the big screen starting from 9th December 2010 which is TODAY~!!! Don't miss it.

The LG OPTIMUS One and OPTIMUS 7 Launch

This post should be written last week. Sorry for the late delay. Thanks to Nuffnang for the invitation. This was the 1st time I am in Menara Celcom.

"YOU ARE NOW IN CELCOM TERRITORY."

It's not hard to differentiate Celcom with other telco in Malaysia. It's Blue. Even the guest pass is blue. Not to mention about the office.

This time Celcom and LG (Korean company) is collaborating for a promotion of great products. It's the LG Optimus. And it's divided into two types which is LG Optimus 7 and LG Optimus One. Basically the difference between them is the OS: Optimus 7 is using window 7 while Optimus One is using Android.

Thanks for the refreshment. It's served as my brunch on that day.

One of the attractions in the event. eheemmmm....i mean the phones...smart phones...=)There are the LG models that give explanations about the phones.

Without them, we will be knowing nothing about the phones.

Chearmster was trying on the application in the new phone.

Jester also took this opportunity to learn more about LG latest products. Redlinda was listening with full attention at aside.

There're the 1st 7 people in the whole Malaysia that have the chance to experience the new phones.
